Set of buttons with the last selected button highlighted

Place the button inside a movieclip at frame 1. Place a second, highlighted version of the button at frame 2. Multiply the buttons and name them b1, b2, b3, b4 Then add the following script to the button in frame 1: on (release) { // reset all buttons for(i=1;i<=4;i++){ _parent["b" add i].gotoAndStop(1); } // set myself to selected gotoAndStop(2); // here you can add any actions you like }

I tried your script for selecting a button w/ the last selected button highlighted . . . and it did not work. Would appreciate a little more detail (if you've got a few minutes). Seems the script could use a 'stop();' inside the first frame of the movie. Also, the script inside the button on frame one does not do any of the actions added where you said they should be added. While the movie (of 4 buttons) seems to advance from frame 1 to frame 2, I can't see that it does anything with the other two buttons -- all of which are named (in sequence) b1, b2, b3, and b4. I'd really like to add this script to my work right now. Your help would be really appreciated soooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks and keep up the good work!!!
